Application

PC strand is widely used in prestressed concrete structure (both pre-tensioning and post tensioning). Its application is so wide that hardly any prestressed concrete structure is constructed without it. Bridges, high-rise buildings, industrial facilities, warehouses, stadiums, sport complexes, containment tanks, airports, seaports, train stations, railways, subways, monorails, tunnels, dams, reservoirs, above and underground mining operations, foundations etc. are just some of the applications where strand is used.

In most of the post- tensioning and pre-tensioning projects, pc strand of bright is the most used widely. Molded PC Strand are mainly used for lifting projects, but also for projects such as nuclear power. Galvanized PC Strand are often used for used for the tether, cable and in vitro prestress engineering of bridges. The purpose of the Expoxy Resin coated PC Strand is similar to the Galvanized PC Strand.
